Chapter Five: Real & Unscripted

I will never, ever ask you to say "cheese." If I'm being honest, posed photos make my skin crawl a little, that stiff smile everyone does when they know a camera is pointed at them, the one that looks nothing like their real laugh. This chapter is the opposite of that. It's the in-between moments, the ones you don't even realize are happening. Someone whispering something ridiculous. A hand reaching out without thinking. The half second before everyone composes themselves for the "real" shot, except that half second was the real shot the whole time. If you want stiff and staged, there are a thousand photographers for that. If you want the truth of who you actually are together, that's what lives here.
